2022 Project 365 // Days 50 - 56

19th February 2022
The small signs of Spring are slowly seeping North.

20th February 2022
Its been 6 weeks since Rhea came to us and she's doing really well.
Sadly, it does not look like she will have full use of her wing again therefore won't be able to be re-released but we're happy to keep her as part of our family.*
We're going to look into getting a bigger, more permanent home for her ASAP and some sort of friend to keep her company...

(* there are no rescues around that would take care of her long term.
Many will just PTS birds with injured wings, especially pigeons.
I have plenty of experience, time and love to devote to her rather than risk her losing her life.)

21st February 2022
Yet another sky photo for February.
I've been trying to get outside more, even just 15 minutes in the garden with Rhea.
It's nice to see the blue sky.

22nd February 2022
The best vegan chocolate cake for Mr H's 31st 🎂

23rd February 2022
1 year, 9 months, 25 days and 5 storms in the past 3 months and the greenhouse has sadly met its end.
Ripped and wrecked we decided to call it a day and take it down today.
It's sad to see it go but the garden looks a lot bigger again.
I'd say better but it always looks awful in the winter so after a little work come the drier weather it will be better.

24th February 2022
Our special, handmade, glass Lucky Ducks from our day in Whitby.
We always need a souvenir even if it's somewhere we've been to before or go to often.

25th February 2022
Book 6 of the year.
Disappointing considering we're two months into the year, but I'm happy with it seeing as
my 1st book of 2022 was 900 odd pages and took the full month of January.
It's so nice to get out and read in the garden too. Looking forward to more of this.

2022 Project 365 // Days 43 - 49

12th February 2022
Fast-moving clouds and windsurfing birds 🌥️

13th February 2022
🦞🛁

14th February 2022
We don't do Valentines, I love my husband every day and don't need a Hallmark holiday to remind me,
but he's had a hard time at work recently so I thought I'd be funny and make heart shape pizza for tea 😂🍕🖤
(To be fair, literally, the only holiday we celebrate is Halloween which is also our Anniversary
so it's nothing new if you call me a scrooge, I've heard it all before)

15th February 2022
Always have to make time for a walk when I go to my hometown.
The photos are deceiving but the waves were pretty big!
The lighthouse is looking great after its repaint too. 🌊

16th February 2022
Our first day trip together...ever. We've been together 4 years this year, married 3 and we've only spent the night in Edinburgh once.
Whitby is somewhere we both have been multiple times before during our lives and have ties to so this trip has been 'planned' for literal years.
We bit the bullet and went as an early birthday day out for Mr H hoping that winter would be quieter, especially before the school holidays.
It wasn't bad but obviously having not left my house pretty much and definitely not being in public since February of 2020 it was difficult for me.
(Especially seeing as everyone is completely back to normal and not a mask in sight 🙄)

My main port of call was St Mary's Church as my 5,6,7,8 and 9x Great Grandfathers were born in Whitby, and all but the 9th married in that church, so we headed there first.
We experienced multiple seasons in our short visit which was fun and can at least say I've been somewhere in the past 2 years now.

17th February 2022
Last nights Snow Moon stayed up late.

18th February 2022
Mars sunbathing unaware of the winds outside!
It makes me sad for all the small pets that have to live outdoors.

2022 Project 365 // Days 36 - 42

5th February 2022
Tutti, Eddie & Penny, Oliver, Buck & Manny and Jasper & Pumpkin 🖤🐈

6th February 2022
So happy that life is slowly appearing again.

7th February 2022
7.30am and the sun is rising.
Hopefully, it won't be long until it's getting up when we do at 6am.
Dark mornings aren't great.

8th February 2022
Our Haunted Librarians Guild box arrived today!
One of our favourite artists, Sian Ellis, and such a cool box.
Glad to have been able to nab one this time around. 👻📖

9th February 2022
Lots of love from Pheobe, Peaches, Rafiki and others today. Much needed!
How can anyone do any animal, but especially these defenceless babies, harm?

10th February 2022
A perfectly round sheet of ice from Rhea's birdbath! It's so cold this week. ❄️

11th February 2022
Some fresh air in the garden with my boy.
It's chilly still though and he's a cold tattie so it didn't last long!
We've had a bit of drama though with a bit of an injury (unrelated to playing) this afternoon.
Lots of blood and stress for us both. 😔

2022 Project 365 // Days 29 - 35

29th January 2022
It may just look like a lovely sunny day but Storm Malik is in full force,
causing even more havoc than Arwen did 😔

30th January 2022
RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch 2022!
I'm pretty sure this is my 9th, maybe 10th year taking part and due to Storm Malik, my hopes were not high for all our regulars to visit.
I was pleasantly surprised, however, that we did get quite a variety (well considering our location of course).
Our birds are very used to our garden and know the time I top up each morning so I'm glad many of them braved the weather and turned up as usual.
We had; Blackbird, Sparrow, Rock Dove, Dunnock, Wood Pigeon, Blue Tit,
Collared Dove, Crow, Great Tit, Herring Gull, Robin and Starling. 💙🕊️🖤

31st January 2022
🐈💖 Seven! 💖🐈
Happy Birthday to two of the absolute lights of my life.
I wanted to get better photos of the girls today because it's been a while but photographing cats is obviously different to dogs!
They always turn out better when unplanned and unexpected.

1st February 2022
Happy Lunar New Year!
Welcome, Year of the 🐅🐯

2nd February 2022
Finally 😭

3rd February 2022
An awful photo, but the only shot I got because they were so fast.
Still glad to have caught a Great Tit in the garden!

4th February 2022
It's been a while since the last car reading photo.
It's not often I have to wait long on Mr H anymore so miss out on the extra reading time!
