Back Through the Lens - Week 26

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on. The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is week 26.

2013 - July 7th
Playing with Baker's touchable bubbles in the garden.

2014 - Week 26
This will forever be one of my favourite photos I've taken.
A lucky Mama Cow who got to keep her baby, unlike so many others.

2015 - June 27th
Back when I used to sell cards of my wildlife and nature on my Etsy.

2016 - June 26th
A famous sight in Berwick, the lighthouse.

2017 - June 29th
I have no recollection of the what, where, when of this photo but it's a beautiful crow so what more do you need haha.

2018 - End of Series
This was a crazy year for me and sadly I gave up taking daily photos 5 days into June.
It was an eventful year and I really regret not carrying it on.

2019 - June 26th
The first proper day in our new house. Can't believe it's been a year since we moved in!

2020 Project 366 // Days 169 - 175

17th June 2020
It was difficult to choose 10 photos from the 37 I edited (out of the 100+ I took) during our 5k walk for Saving the Survivors!
I posted all of the photos in a post over on my other blog, click here to see them.
Fog, soaking feet and still so many people around even at 7am were the downsides.
But arthritis and back pain holding out, seeing some amazing wildlife and generally getting fresh air outshone them.

18th June 2020
We get a lot of species of bird to visit our garden, but it seems that Black Birds don't really stop by.
So I was excited this morning to spy this guy with a beak full of worms perched on our gate.

19th June 2020
Lady bug came to explore our chives and parsley!

20th June 2020
My medal came! I wasn't expecting it so soon so it was an exciting treat to pop through the door today.
Please go follow check out Saving the Survivors and sponsor me over on my JustGiving page.

21st June 2020
Nature Mandala!
This idea was included in one of the 30 Days Wild emails and so when out doing our 5k the other day we picked up a few bits.
Sadly some of it didn't survive, so I hunted in our garden for fallen petals and leaves to make it work.
 This was the final result!

22nd June 2020
Fun fact: I hate butterflies! (and moths etc).
I jumped multiple times trying to take this photo.

23rd June 2020
Nothing better than homegrown. Well done Mr H 🖤

Back Through the Lens - Week 25

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on. The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is week 25.

2013 - June 27th
Long story short I got slightly bit by a dog and had to go to the hospital for a tetanus shot.
My records were inconclusive so they gave me tablets to take instead.
I can't take tablets so had to cut them up into 8 pieces each time.

2014 - Week 25
Baby bunnies!
Just over the field from my parents house is a place were Beatrix Potter stories come alive!

2015 - June 19th
Yes, that is a stone he is carring.

2016 - June 21st
Dad and I did a 32+ mile hike around Kielder water in aid of Alzheimer's Society and Parkinson's UK.
This was just one of the fantastic sights we were lucky to see.

2017 - June 20th
I love when nature takes over.

2018 - End of Series
This was a crazy year for me and sadly I gave up taking daily photos 5 days into June.
It was an eventful year and I really regret not carrying it on.

2019 - June 18th
This moment happened at the end of a very long walk and it was so exciting to see this beautiful family!

2020 Project 366 // Days 162 - 168

10th June 2020
Spotted this when in the car today and was gutted I didn't have my camera.
So pretty and well done!

11th June 2020
I took my camera in the car when I went to pick up Mr H in the hopes I get a photo of the Black Birds that are usually hopping around.
But of course, when I have my camera, they're nowhere in sight.
Instead, I settled on a close up of a bush because for some reason it reminded me of The Secret Garden.

12th June 2020
At least its good weather for snails!

13th June 2020
Finally, the last coin of my Dinosauria collection has arrived!
(Technically yesterday but Mr Snail was already my daily photo).
This was due in April but due to the obvious, it got postponed.
I wasn't even expecting it so it was a nice surprise!
Now just to get a frame so we can display them in the reptile room 🦖🐊🦕

14th June 2020
Another misty day with only Wood Pigeons in sight.
From our back window, through the haze, you can just about make out the little birding corner that the school has on their field.

15th June 2020
Today, or this afternoon anyway, was the first peek of sun we've had in a week.
Our veggie plants are really in need of it, but our peas are coming on.
We haven't cut our grass in a few weeks and the bees are loving the clover
so, of course, I had to include the photo of our little pal too.

16th June 2020
Very little goes to waste in our house, especially food.
If it isn't eaten by us or the guineas it then goes into the composting tub.
(Also, this isn't all veg from us.
Mr H is a chef and brings off cuts home to save them being wasted at work.)

Back Through the Lens - Week 24

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on. The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is week 2.

2013 - 17th June
Caught a little Gold Finch squabble going on in the tree at the end of my garden.

2014 - Week 24
Walking around the Berwick Town Walls for the sponsored dog walk I arranged
in aid of The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

2015 - 16th June
I cracked/chipped a tooth and had to go to the hospital for an Xray.
Can you tell what tooth it is? I still have it too haha.

2016 - 11th June
Baby B!
This was the night before I re-released this little lady, after having looked after her for a week.
She is a female Blackbird and returned the later in the year, then the next to visit.

2017 - 12th June
Berwick is a very lucky town for its diverse wildlife.
Despite the rubbish photo, seeing the otters in person was such a highlight.

2018 - End of Series
This was a crazy year for me and sadly I gave up taking daily photos 5 days into June.
It was an eventful year and I really regret not carrying it on.

2019 - 11th June
Mr H and I visited Dippy the Diplodocus cast at the Hancock Museum a year ago already?!
