Back Through The Lens - Week 39

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on. The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is week 39.

2013 - 12th October
My 23rd Birthday when I actually had friends and got some really thoughtful gifts. I don't like birthdays and I don't want gifts overall FYI.

2014 - Week 39
I love the colours on Starlings and we don't get any at all where we live now! At the house in this photo I could get 50+ visit at one time if there was lots of food out for them.

2015 - 26th September
A drive down to Newcastle and a stop off at Whitley Bay, though I can't remember why.

2016 - 24th September
Rare walks along the river with my boy.

2017 - 28th September
You know it's Autumn when...

2018 - End of Series
This was a crazy year for me and sadly I gave up taking daily photos 5 days into June. It was an eventful year and I really regret not carrying it on.

2019 - 27th September
Mr H and I took part in the Memory Walk for the Alzheimer's Society at Beamish.

2020 Project 366 // Days 260 - 266

16th September 2020
Twin cucumber!

17th September 2020
I wish there were more places I could go for a walk by myself without the fear of others being there.
Thankfully only a few passed me today, though every one of them glared at me because as soon as I saw people approach I put my mask on and jogged as far away from them as I could get.
Does no one understand or care about what is going on? Especially in our county?
'Oh, you're high risk? Stay inside then.' I have been. Since February.
I don't go to the shops or pubs like you. I go from home to car, take my husband to work, then from car to home again until its time to pick him up.
We are walkers, nature lovers, wildlife photographers.
I miss being able to just enjoy the fresh air and no noise except the birds.
I shouldn't be expected to not enjoy that just because people are offended I cover my face and don't want to be near anyone.
Believe in what you want, but please respect other people's right to space and safety.

18th September 2020
Relaxing and watching some Netflix.

19th September 2020
Cut back, weeded etc the front garden.
Hawthorn is doing good since it was planted in May, the Hydrangea had a shorter run this year,
but most of the wildlife is still rife even if Hoggle is gone.

20th September 2020
Nice new glass water bottles for my boyos 🥕

21st September 2020
Pretty much the only outside view I get these days.

22nd September 2020
Would he jump in my grave as quick?!

Back Through the Lens - Week 38

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on. The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is week 38.

2013 - 1st October
Little sad man after his big boy surgery!

2014 - Week 38
Walks in the woods by the river with his Granny.

2015 - 19th September
Such fun things to photograph, I have a few photos of different ones over the years.

2016 - 18th September
We made a den out of a box that a huge chair came in and spent the day in it watching movies on the laptop.

2017 - 20th September
Trying on his Halloween costume but not sure why I wanted him to face the other way for his photo haha.

2018 - End of Series
This was a crazy year for me and sadly I gave up taking daily photos 5 days into June.
It was an eventful year and I really regret not carrying it on.

2019 - 22nd September
Two invalid photos in one post! This day he hurt his paw playing in the garden :(

2020 Project 366 // Days 253 - 259

9th September 2020
Even the Daddy Long Legs got a good view of this mornings sunrise.

10th September 2020
We had to scrap the girls custom build vivs a few weeks ago when spoiled boy Hades decided he wanted his old viv back and there wasn't enough space in the room for everything.
We'd spent a good amount of time and money on them but instead bought another for the stack and moved the girls into them.
These past few days we made a second level type shelf thing to utilize more space and give them a bit more enrichment.
We've got a few bits to do to tie it all together but they seem to be enjoying their new homes so far!

11th September 2020
The sporadic and intense weather really affected our food growth this year.

12th September 2020
Our first Autumnal walk and foraging of the year. Perhaps the only one this year.
We only got out because my car was in for its MOT and we have no other vehicle or place to go while the car is in the garage, so we walked until it was ready.
I just wish there went as many people out and about. I really miss getting to go exploring.

13th September 2020
Eventually got around to sewing the last two buddies and getting the garland hung up on Baker's bedroom wall.

14th September 2020
Didn't ever think I'd have this in my collection...

15th September 2020
Just another beautiful sunrise.
