2021 Project 365 // Days 50 - 56

19th February 2021
Mr H had to move the holidays he'd originally booked from work, meaning his Birthday now falls the day before he goes back.
Therefore we chose a different day to celebrate his 30th. Today.
We don't go crazy with gifts, because we get stuff throughout the year but I wanted to get him a few bits including a special piece to mark his 30th.
I bought the little wooden box on eBay too to go with it, something we'd usually get while treasure hunting in charity shops.
Mam and Dad also put together a nice parcel, complete with a personalised card.
Friday happens to be our night on the meal plan for 'less healthy' options so we got Vizza Guys vegan pizza
and had maybe our second alcoholic beverage in 3 months, haha to end the day!

20th February 2021
It's nice to see some life 🌷

21st February 2021
Our boat didn't float.

22nd February 2021
Today is Mr H's actual 30th birthday.
We hadn't been out for a walk in a while and also needed to take our monthly couples portrait, so headed down to Marsden
around 6.30/7 for sunrise in the hopes there would be no one around at that time on a Monday morning.
It was quiet which was a surprise but appreciated, meaning I could enjoy a walk without the stress and anxiety of people being nearby for a change.
However, there was no sunrise.
Only haar and rain.
Having grown up with a view of the sea from my bedroom and going to walk at the prom or beaches
whenever I've been down, I need to be able to visit the seaside for my wellbeing.
Its a huge miss no matter the weather and I can't wait for all the people to go back
into pubs and shops so I can safely walk in the quietness without panic attacks.

23rd February 2021
Considering I'm not a runner, I've built a mini collection of medals, all of which were in aid of animal charities.
From January 11th to February 4th I fought against my chronic illnesses and ran 90 miles (145 km) to raise money for an animal shelter that has stolen my heart.
Yesterday, I was able to donate £250 that 18 of you wonderful people were kind enough to help me raise for Vucjak Shelter.
Thank you so much for the support I have received and for giving to such a special rescue centre.
I urge you all to please go and follow @vucjakshelter & @vucjakshelterteam
and continue to support the incredibly important yet difficult work they do.

24th February 2021
I always get super excited when these guys stop by, because despite them being a very common bird they rarely visit our front garden.
An early morning bath for this guy before the crowds came!

25th February 2021
I'll never understand why people don't put their washing on the line.
It's an exciting day each year when the weather is good enough to get it all outside!

2021 Project 365 // Days 43 - 49

12th February 2021
Every time the sun starts to melt the snow, it's just replaced overnight 🙄
I guess we're just going to have to put up with it indefinitely.

13th February 2021
Mr H is only off 1 day a week, so although we plan for him to relax, we usually end up doing something that needs to be done around the house.
Today we sorted through the cupboard that is home to my sewing stuff and the camping gear and I finally organized a huge bag of spools that have needed better storage for a while!
Nice and colourful eh?

14th February 2021
Belated Happy Lunar New Year! 🐂

15th February 2021
4.30pm and still light?! Woohoo!

16th February 2021
When you can't go to the museum, bring the history and artefacts to you!
Nice start to Mr H's week off work for his birthday.

17th February 2021
We camped in the living room tonight.
When we had to cancel our Disney honeymoon/Anniversary trip/joint 30th birthday holiday back in August 2020,
we actually planned a few nights camping in the Cairngorms or Galloway for the same week we should have been going in October.
Obviously, that couldn't happen either.
So seeing as we'd bought a load of new camping gear with our Disney refund we decided to get some sort of use out of it this week when Mr H is off.
It did take over the whole living room but the cats loved it and I had the longest lie-in I've had in years until 8am!

18th February 2021
Considering where he's from, Mr H has never actually been into York.
It's somewhere I've been quite a few times over the years and I did Jorvik as a child around 2000.
We'd always planned to go in the coming years, especially down to the Viking ties, but because we can't,
Mam kindly paid for us to do two of the live-streamed events during 'That Jorvik Viking Thing' as part of his birthday.
Today's was the tour of Jorvik!
A really enjoyable experience and I appreciate the hard work everyone has put in to run this event online.

2021 Project 365 // Days 36 - 42

5th February 2021
The Jigsaw I ordered on National Puzzle Day (Jan 29th) arrived a couple days ago and I made a start on it today.
Finally had spare time, having a day off running miles and miles every morning haha.

6th February 2021
'You think I'm stupid Mam? It's cold and wet outside, I'm not going out there.'

7th February 2021
Always love the smell of a Dragon Egg 🐲

8th February 2021
It's nice to take photos of, especially when you're stuck at home and don't get to go on nature walks.
But thank goodness the majority of it is gone now!

9th February 2021
Day 2 of the horrible white stuff outside and the girls are over it too.
So much so they're hugging in together and being all lovey!

10th February 2021
It's typical that on day 3 of the awful white stuff endangering our counties that I'd have to drive 70 odd miles for a doctors appointment (long story).
Stressful enough considering it's my first time anywhere since February last year, then road conditions on top made for a fabulously stressful day full of anxiety and panic attacks!
However, it wasn't all bad.
Obviously I don't leave my dog at home alone all day so he came too and stayed with his Granny and Granda while I went to the appointment.
On the spur of the moment, Mam and I decided to have a walk
(distanced and with masks because I'm still petrified and shielding, plus I actually go by the rules unlike most)
and was lucky enough to photograph lots of wonderful wildlife.
That's two walks in one month!!! I'm spoiled!
I miss my home town a lot. Growing up in a town, by the sea, with beautiful countryside is such a stark difference to suburban living.
The people here aren't nice, there's nowhere to walk unless you drive for miles (not allowed right now) and the crime is unbelievable.
What I would do for a walk at the beach right now!

11th February 2021
A quick 5 minute peek at the river after Mr H finished work today was canny.
It's insane that this is literally 25 feet from his building.
Nice to see some colours appearing, the white and grey is tiresome
and hopefully the lovely sun will continue to melt all this snow!
