2022 Project 365 // Days 141 - 147

21st May 2022
Little did I know how much I would need this extra cat supplied serotonin today!
Only a couple hours later I had a scary breakdown and was alone which was traumatising.

Leo, Santana, Ron and Harry, Rosie and Thumper were absolutely fantastic and already made my day brighter before the evening stress.
Leo is a long stay because he had to have an operation to remove a pellet from his nose
and Rosie has a broken jaw, so it's safe to say I had plenty of drool rubbed all over me too!

[Leo has gone through a lot in the past few months including x-rays, surgeries and medication. He has been an absolute star throughout the whole ordeal and is a complete babe! All of this has however racked up a bill of over £1600!! If you can spare a few pounds, please consider donating to his fundraiser so we can continue to help other cats like Leo. Thank you!]

The new birdbaths getting some use from the family of
Starlings that have fledged from the neighbour's roof ๐Ÿฆ

23rd May 2022
I finished these 4 jigsaws off a few weeks ago now.
I was waiting to frame them to share a photo, but finding frames has
proved fruitless so I've packed them up today to store away.
This is the 2nd Disney Store puzzle I've done now and it's further evidence that their quality sucks.

24th May 2022
It's been a stressful few days, so it seems the majority of the photos I've taken have been of the birds from my windows.
This little fledgling Starling was chilling out on a neighbour's wall and I thought it was so cute!

25th May 2022
So I guess Mama Garden Spider who lived on our garden waste bin last year must have laid eggs...
 Babies have appeared ๐Ÿ•ธ️๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ•ท️

26th May 2022
Something that annoys me more than anything is litter.
There are no excuses or need to drop rubbish at all. This morning there was a disposable* mask
outside my gate and although I'm disgusted by it and terrified of germs, I couldn't leave it there to
kill my precious birds and wildlife, so I headed out with gloves on and a bag.
10 minutes later this was what I'd ended up picking up from the bush outside our fence.

People scunner me. Stop dropping litter - including cigarette butts!!
If it's windy make sure your bin is secure.
Pick up what you can, when you can.

Our country has no pride or care in itself and it is filthy.
Do better.

(* disposable masks should be reserved for medical and care staff only. 2 years into a pandemic you should have invested in reusable masks long ago! Disposable culture is destroying our planet for goodness sake!!)

27th May 2022
The bath colour that came from this ducky surprised me! Really cool!
I don't like to read in the bath usually because I'm scared that it'll get wet,
but I took the opportunity to finally finish my book today too.

2022 Project 365 // Days 134 - 140

14th May 2022
The little loves from this Saturday were Olivia, Oscar, Monty, Stampy and Manny.
The 22-spot Ladybird was actually hiding in Monty's ball track toy
so I had to help him escape to the lovely flower memorial garden.

15th May 2022
Going out to the car at 6.20am and finding a little present on the window started my day nicely.

16th May 2022
This fun guy was growing in my Hebe!

17th May 2022
My little man Argo enjoying the sun, eating grass while laying comfortably! ๐Ÿน

18th May 2022
So excited that my @rspb_love_nature order arrived today!
Two new lovely wildlife watering holes and a jigsaw for me haha.
Our main bird bath broke a few months ago so the poor birdies have had
to use a pasta bowl with gravel in it until I found a nice replacement.
I hope they take to these as much as they liked the old one!

19th May 2022
I would usually split my bubble bars and use them over a few baths, but this one had
been waiting to be used a while and was past its best...so I got a full bubble bar bath!

20th May 2022
Another visit to Beamish with Granny and Granda!

2022 Project 365 // Days 127 - 133

7th May 2022
Chunk and Sloth, Sprite, Cookie and Crumble, Marty and McFly, and Lola.
As always an honour to spend time with such wonderful souls.
A reminder to you though to please, please, please spay/neuter your pets and adopt, do not shop.

8th May 2022
What a treat! Today is the first time we've ever really properly sat out in our front garden* and it was pure bliss!
You all probably know by now how much we do to try and make our environment as safe, happy, inviting and encouraging as possible for the local wildlife
and our front garden is the main nature Haven!
We planted Hawthorn bushes a couple of years ago and they are really coming into their own this year, we sew wildflower seeds every now and again
and leave half of our grass as a wildflower lawn for all the bugs and bees, and of course, we have water and food for the birds daily.
Not to mention all of the other gorgeous bushes and flowers too.
To be able to sit out in the sun enjoying the sounds, smells and sights of it all was truly wonderful.
We read our books and brought Mars out in his run to also enjoy the grass and dandelion leaves!

You'll also see a cute snoot of Baker ready to enjoy his doggy ice cream in the back garden that morning๐Ÿถ

If you have grass I really recommend you not only take part in #NoMowMay but leave at least a patch to grow all season.
Little steps like this make a big difference overall and we need to do all we can to support mother nature!
Let it grow, leave the weeds, and plant flowers and bushes and trees.
Let's rewild our planet to save the species on the brink, to combat climate change and have a wild world for us all to reap the benefits of.

๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿž๐ŸŒป๐Ÿฆ‹๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ›๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ฎ๐Ÿ•ท️๐ŸŒณ

(* we don't really get to go into the front garden much as the square of houses all face that way so there isn't much privacy
and when you've got neighbours who aren't the best, we prefer to keep to ourselves put the back.
Some were away for the week and it was abnormally quiet so we took advantage of the situation !)

9th May 2022
Make it pink or make it blue... ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’™

10th May 2022
Two weeks after my first visit to the lions, I made a 7am drive into town to the Born Free Forever sculptures with Mam in tow as shes down visiting.
It was so perfect and we were blessed by mother nature with beautiful blue skies, early morning sunshine and only the people biking past in sight.
I got so many cool photos that I can't wait to share in a blog post soon!
We also popped around to the pond and spent some time with all the lovely birds and even some babies.
A great way to start a day!

11th May 2022
We may go to Beamish monthly, but Mam and Dad haven't been since I was little!
While they're down we popped over for the morning, had a fab walk and were lucky enough to spot a pheasant and bunny, alongside the usual horses, pigs and lots of birds!

12th May 2022
I ordered a medal frame from Virtual Racing UK and it arrived today!
I'm over the moon that my little medal collection now has a home, instead of being
stuck in a drawer and the frame was an absolute bargain...so I've ordered another!
It does have a perspex front which will help to keep my medals protected but it was too shiny to photograph nicely so I took the photo without it.
I think that all of the medals but 3 in the frame and the 2 on the edges were all from Virtual Racing UK too!
Hopefully, they'll bring out some more in the predator series soon...

13th May 2022
A Batman Hoverfly!
