2023 Daily Photos // Days 155 - 161

4th June 2023
Lots of bigger visitors today, alongside the baby Starlings.

5th June 2023
Our windows reflect the sky and trees across the road, as well as looking right through
to another parallel window which has led to a couple of birds bumping into them.
Until I get something more permanent, I tacked up some black shapes to deter them.

6th June 2023
We went on a little family wander down to St. Paul's Monastery spotting lots of diverse nature and wildlife along the way.
Stand-out mentions go to the amazing Bee Orchid (which sadly, on our way home, had been cut down but council grass cutters - please leave green spaces to go wild!!),
Treecreeper who posed lots for me and the bee who climbed aboard my hand to travel to the safety of a flower after having been sitting in the middle of the path.

7th June 2023
What a day at Washington Wetlands!!
We were lucky to see their Bar-headed Geese chicks, the first in over 10 years to have hatched at Washington.
We then saw their adult pals, some Avocets, Shelduck with chicks, Canada Geese, Black-Headed Gulls, female Pheasant, lots of squirrels, multiple Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Nuthatch, Dunnock, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Jay, Reed Bunting, Moor Hen, Mandarin Duck, Chilean Flamingos, Puna Teal with chicks, Smew, Black Swan with chicks and probably others! Absolutely amazing.

8th June 2023
Today I finished the TenHun jigsaw that we started the other day and as it was
World Ocean Day we had to take a quick trip down to Marsden Bay after Josh got home from work.

9th June 2023
Stood for far too long watching these Starling parents feeding their babies.
They must be knackered as they were constantly back and forward.
It's lovely to hear the babies calling though!

10th June 2023
The Raspberries are on their way thanks to Mr Bee and his pals!
