2023 Daily Photos // Days 260 - 266

17th September 2023
This Crane fly chilled on the window looking in for quite a while today.

18th September 2023
It was a pretty gloomy day again today so the photos aren't great, but the Starlings and Sparrows
were back and forth from the feeders all day!

19th September 2023
We have a fantastic Farplace Animal Rescue Charity Shop near us and love to keep an eye for a few
things in particular: books, animal ornaments and frames.
Often the frames we like come with artwork and photos still in them and I can't bring myself to get rid
of any of it. We have a folder with pictures people have drawn to photos of pet dogs.
This is an oil painting on canvas that we had to hang on the wall. Isn't it beautiful?!
On the back of the frame, it says  'Scotland by Mildred Shutt'.

20th September 2023
I can't pretend that I'm only just starting the Honeymoon planning,
but I have started to write it up in our special planner.

21st September 2023
Our last visit to Washington Wetlands of Summer.
We didn't get to visit during August so it was wonderful to still get a chance to spy a few Common Darters (dragonflies)!
Some recent additions to the wetlands, the Bewick Swans, were a huge reason for our visit today too and they were beautiful as expected.
It was well and truly a day full of the signs of both Summer and Autumn and I'm
excited to see how the landscape continues to change in the following months.

22nd September 2023
The little garden birds have been out in full force recently.
Beautiful little Blue Tit having a bath this afternoon.
We also have a Garden Spider who has set up camp in the Nasturtiums, so mesmerizing to watch.

23rd September 2023
A Magic Potion bathtime.

2023 Daily Photos // Days 253 - 259

10th September 2023
The day the rains came!
It got so dark that the streetlights came on at midday and rained so much it came in our back door...

11th September 2023
Sunrise the morning after a storm.

12th September 2023
It was my turn to get Mr H and I's matching Hallow Manor tattoos today!

13th September 2023
After a long day yesterday, I was knackered today.
Thankfully Miss Ossy is always there to hug in with me!

14th September 2023
And I'm poorly.
I cannot remember the last time I've been this ill, definitely not in the past 5 years
and not since being with Mr H. He is constantly proving himself an incredible husband,
but I have never had someone look after me (other than my parents) like he has.

15th September 2023
Aurora and Eos have been such good nurses!

16th September 2023
My first day back properly on my feet in a couple of days and getting some air from the back door.
These nasturtiums are still taking over! They aren't my favourite flowers but the bees are still
enjoying them, so I love them!

2023 Daily Photos // Days 246 - 252

3rd September 2023
The first chapter of my new book was 'The End'?
I appreciated this one lone daisy in the grass too, with the thoughts that it may be
the last until next Spring now.

4th September 2023
Can you count all the little Sparrows hiding in the hydrangea?
They had lots of fun in the bird baths today too!

5th September 2023
A busy day and a strange variety of photos.
The car was in the garage this morning and I finally got a photo of the cat that frequents there.
I've forgotten his name, but he is the most laid-back cat ever.

We also spent some time with Mars out in the garden today as it wasn't too hot.
I like to let him play out before I cut the grass so he can get some nice fresh grass to munch!

Finally, this evening we went to a 'Beer and Bat' event at WWT Washington.
We're members and love this place but it was extra special to visit at night
and to experience some of the bat species we're lucky to have in this country.
There was a young hedgehog in the car park as we left too.
I'm usually in bed before dark so it's a rare sighting for me!

6th September 2023
Spotted this little shield bug just hanging out on the elderberries this morning.

7th September 2023
Try and tell me this isn't the most beautiful little face in the whole world!

8th September 2023
We popped into Lush while in town the other day and grabbed some of the Halloween
bath bombs we haven't tried before.
Today we used Screaming Banshee!

9th September 2023
I spied the tiniest snail on our back door!
