2022 Project 365 // Days 218 - 224

6th August 2022
Later this month is Baker's big birthday! The big 1-0.
This gift is probably more for me, but I wanted to get a special keepsake to commemorate.

7th August 2022
Dot, Mrs Norris, Marnie, Felix, Bear and Inky & Simba.

8th August 2022
International Cat Day came back around so quickly this year!
Maybe it's because my life is so full of cat love right now.
I'm not just lucky to get to volunteer as a desensitizer with Cats Protection, but I get to live with these two absolutely magical creatures.
Eos and Aurora have added so much to my life over the past 4 years and I cannot imagine life without them.

9th August 2022
Our first ever trip away together!
When our Disney honeymoon got cancelled in 2020 we booked to come here.
Then that trip got cancelled too...
In a last-minute turn of events, Mr H was getting 5 days off work this month and although we usually avoid leaving home at all during the Summer Holidays
(especially during a pandemic!), we decided to take the opportunity to take Baker away for an early birthday treat as he is turning 10 this month!
We had a quick stop at Bruce's Stone, Loch Trool, which commemorates King Robert’s victory over the English in 1307, on our way to our destination.
After finally arriving at our campsite near Stranraer, we had a quiet evening getting set up, having tea, watching all the wonderful wildlife (including a Hare!)
and enjoying the sunset from our pitch.

10th August 2022
A jam-packed day of exploring!
We had a later start (8am! A huge difference from the usual 6am) and was greeted by the sight of a lovely deer as we were getting ready for the morning.
We then headed down to Scotland's most Southernly Point, the Mull of Galloway,
had a swim in the sea Terally Bay Beach,
stopped by Kirkmadrine Chapel to see the 'Viking' stones,
paid a quick visit to Tor Of Craigoch and then retired to the tent for our last night.

11th August 2022
A long drive home meant for an early start.
We decided to take a quick detour to Dunsky Castle which we had missed the previous day
and was able to finally get the opportunity to photograph one of the many birds of prey we had spotted over our few days away.

12th August 2022
Back to reality.
The mist soon burnt off and was replaced with these stupidly uncomfortable temperatures.
