Dawn Chorus Day walk (a day late).
While I celebrated the day on the 5th from my own garden,
Mr H was at work so we had our walk today.

A spot of gardening work and taking notice of all the creatures we encountered while working.
The first time I've spotted one of our Mousey friends in here!

Butterfly rescue! This poor little thing was lying on the grass with bent wings.
I have a huge fear of butterflies and moths but for some reason, my 'rescue mode' kicked it
and I grabbed a flower to encourage it to take off. It couldn't and instead climbed onto the
flower where I transferred it to another plant.
Many hours later it was still there so we secured it in a tank with food and everything it
could need for the night. In the morning, it took off and left successfully.

This Harlequin Ladybird was living life dangerously in the way of Baker's feet.
Another littley transferred to a plant out of harms way.
12th May 2024
Our Hawthorn has flowered!!!! Year 4 and it's first flowers.
Hopeful for berries for the birds to enjoy this year!
There is so much more garden life appearing too.
