2021 Project 365 // Days 358 - 365

24th December 2021
Had a proper down day today, so finally cracked out the leftover pumpkin from October
and carved a dragon to busy my mind.

25th December 2021
The best way to spend today. It was great to see the centre so empty, with lots of cats in new homes or out in foster homes but still,
there were these complete and utter babes and a few more who I wish I'd been able to stay and spend time with too.
Jasmine and Sasha were my first call. Very timid, quiet girls who I hope I can visit with again next week to help build their trust.
Then was Bob who I could barely get a photo of because he only wanted to have hugs on my knee.
Susie enjoyed watching some CatTV with me and had a little play with her toys...
Before Pedro and Greta used me as a climbing frame!
Such wonderful little souls, each and everyone I have the pleasure of meeting. πŸ–€

26th December 2021
The last Sunday of 2021!
We have now had a bath bomb bath every Sunday of the year. Glad that expenditure is over ha.

27th December 2021
These deer made my month this morning!
It was dark, foggy and I had to have my camera at such a high ISO the photos are abysmal but I still got to see them 🦌🦌

29th December 2021
After not seeing blackbirds in the garden for months there's been a recent influx.
I hope they all stay for the Big Garden Bird Watch...

30th December 2021
We were actually treated to a quick peek of some blue sky this morning, even if it didn't last long it was still appreciated.
Candle making was also on the agenda to use up the spare wax that had built up since last time.

31st December 2021
One last bath bomb to empty the stores and round out the year.
Year 9 of daily photos turns into year 10 tomorrow!
10 years of memories documented, frozen in time. SkΓ₯l!

2021 Project 365 // Days 351 - 357

17th December 2021
A little spider set up camp on our mousey friend πŸ•Έ️🐭

18th December 2021
This week's cuddle buddies were just that, complete loves.
An afternoon full of head bonks, forehead licks, knee biscuits and all-around hugs and kisses
with Sox, Baby, Tom and Henry πŸΎπŸ–€

19th December 2021
This will be the only hint of the season you will see here because although I hate this time of year and don't celebrate it I do love the story of Santa Claus.
The book, in particular, I reference and recommend is 'The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus by L Frank Baum'.
It's a wonderful story that humanises Santa and how things came to be.
We also popped up to visit my parents today and got to enjoy a walk with a view.

20th December 2021
Anubis is the one out of our 3 snakes that are out and about the most, and he's our old guy at about 21 (he's a rescue so we aren't sure).
I did catch him super cosied up in his bed on my phone though, swipe...

21st December 2021
Winter solstice is finally here and although obviously, we've a long way to go, at least it's upwards from here.
We're not having fun with the 3 odd hours of light we're getting up here and it especially makes taking photos difficult, a shame seeing as I've not gotten a good chance to play with my new camera yet.
Today is also National Robin Day!
Obviously, these photos are of a wonderful male Blackbird though, because it's the first one I've caught in my garden in months!

22nd December 2021
Taste-testing some vegan biscuits that Mr H was given by the lovely Persian lady who makes the sweet treats for his work!

23rd December 2021
Beautiful Freya. Every one of my animals keeps me going. How could anyone not love that face?

2021 Project 365 // Days 344 - 350

10th December 2021
Lovely little Blue Tit got to enjoy the pick of the 3 bush feeders all to himself today!
(and just as I post this a very skinny little Robin has stopped by too!)

11th December 2021
My best friends this Saturday were Peter, Grace, Rory and Oscar & Baby Girl.
It was my 3rd week in a row hanging out with Peter but fingers crossed he should be
going home soon because he misses his brothers and loves to play and hug so much.
Rory too has been at the centre a while and goodness knows why - he's such a distinguished gentleman!

Every single cat I have the pleasure of spending time with completely steals my heart
and if you live in the North East and have room in your family I implore you to pop onto the
Cats Protection Tyneside Adoption Centre website and have a look at all the wonderful babies
waiting for their forever homes πŸˆπŸ–€

13th December 2021
After getting my final course results back on November 21st, I finally received my final certificate on Saturday!
It might not be a degree or PhD, I never wanted to do and couldn't think of anything worse
for me than the whole uni thing anyway, but I still like to learn.
Excited to have completed this with a distinction and I can't wait to start my next two courses.

14th December 2021
This sky is on fire 🌀️

16th December 2021
My 8th and final medal of the year arrived today.
Glad it's the participation that counts and not funds raised because I'm a big failure on that front.
(Sponsor me here for Blue Cross and my sponsor my 828 mile run for Vucjak Shelter here if you are interested).
I guess only people who are popular and have friends manage to help the charities that need it.
I wish I were rich so I could give so much more to the causes I support.
Please remember to support your favourite charities and causes this month and every other month.
This is the month most people are charitable and give, but these causes need it all year round.
