2020 Project 366 // Days 113 - 119

22nd April 2020
The saddest thing about cutting the grass is saying goodbye to the daisies and dandelions.

23rd April 2020
Poorly day equals a waste of a day spent watching TV.

24th April 2020
The last time I went anywhere was the 29th of February.
The only place outside my gate I go now is directly in my car, drive J to work and drive home.
Then again to pick him up, once per week since the working world imploded.
We're nature lovers, hikers, outdoor people and we haven't been able to go anywhere in weeks.
I'm high risk and refuse to go anywhere, especially where we live because apparently, the North East has no idea how serious things are.
However, today when I picked J up from work we had a literal 10-minute walk by the river (which is directly across the road from where he works).
It did me a lot of good but I miss it so much and am so jealous of those able to go further than their back gardens.

25th April 2020
It's been another busy day of making a house a home!
Front fence, wall and door number was done by 10am.
Back wall and a second coat on the decking took a good few more hours.

26th April 2020
Another month's couples portrait and sadly, it's in the exact same place as last months photo.
Although, it looks a little different now...

27th April 2020
Our first proper food in goodness knows how long!
I was so excited for fresh veg that I'd eaten most of my broccoli before I remembered my daily photo!
We hadn't had a food shop in 6 weeks.
The only online shopping slot we could get was for the 26th...3 weeks we had to wait for it.
We were on rations and eating weird combos of things to make the little food last so thank goodness we have stuff now.
And thank goodness for my best pal because half of the shop we'd ordered didn't even come!
She went to multiple shops to get us stuff and I couldn't be more grateful.

28th April 2020
Apparently, the birds are using the gate to come for breakfast today!
Oh and look at my nice, freshly painted wall ends. (See April 19th, day 110)

Back Through the Lens - Week 17

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on.
The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is week 17.

2013 - 30th April
Beautiful Bunny having hugs in the sunshine.

2014 - Week 17 April
File Missing! This will happen periodically during this series where photos have been deleted due to personal reasons, or a photo has not been taken in the first place.

2015 - 29th April
Pudding lane. More a set of steps than a lane.
I walked up those 7 days a week a minimum of once a day...sometimes multiple times.

2016 - 24th April
Aren't Blackbird eggshells lovely?

2017 - 25th April
This little lady made my mornings.
Sometimes Mam would meet me after I finished work (and before she started) to have breakfast at Cafe Nero and Boo would often come in with her Dad.

2018 - 20th April
The Berwick Bear, part of a little wooden wildlife sculpture trail in Berwick's Coronation Park and Castle Vale Park. This was just around the corner from the care home I worked in.

2019 - 24th April
It's not a proper day at Beamish unless you stop by the farm to say hello to all the animals.
This was one of 8 visits or really 7 if you don't count the Memory Walk for Alzheimer's.

2020 Project 366 // Days 106 - 112

15th April 2020
These guys have a little nest inside the roof of our next-door neighbour's house
and it's so lovely watching them come back and forth.

16th April 2020
Sleepy Eos enjoying the sun on the pillow I made her.

17th April 2020
Aurora modelling the beautiful blooms outside.

18th April 2020
A rainbow of books representing the majority of our reading habits,
for our 100th post on our bookstagram.

 19th April 2020
That white stone annoys me, but all the houses in my square have them.
Roll on the end of the month when our paint finally arrives and I can at least freshen it up.
Even Mr Wood pigeon was thinking it.

20th April 2020
Baker had a bath today!

21st April 2020
My Disney order finally arrived!
I've not fallen for any of the limited edition collections in a long time, and because we are unsure if we will get to go on our
Disney honeymoon in October I wanted something to look forward to!

Back Through the Lens - Week 16

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on.
The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is week 16.

2013 - 20th April
Proof that Baker did used to love playing with other dogs!
It wasn't until he was attacking numerous times by dogs of terrible owners that he finally decided he wasn't going to bother being friends with any dogs at all.
I miss being able to take him on walks.

2014 - Week 16 April
A lovely little blue tit in the tree outside my kitchen window when we lived at Fawdon.
We didn't get much wildlife there. It was a flat I suppose.

2015 - 17th April
My bari Nana, with Mam pushing her in her chair down to visit my house.
I miss her too.

2016 - 21st April
I was an arty child, colouring and drawing a lot but now
I haven't much skill minus copying Disney characters.

2017 - 21st April
Looking back at the original post containing this photo I had written
''Made friends with this beaut on our early morning walk. Dunno how anyone can eat these guys. Such a softy.
Today was also the day of the Husky incident on the field at Mams. (This is for my own recollection when looking back on these posts).''

It took me a second but the Husky incident was as follows... Mam, Baker and I had headed over to the field while there was no one else around - for reasons mentioned earlier - to play with his ball, my neck constantly swiveling on look out for other dogs. Out of literally no where a big husky appeared and went after Baker. We shouted and shouted for an owner, but there was none. I managed to get Baker out of the way while Mam distracted the Husky but it was going for her so we kept shouting for help assuming an owner must be near by. A man ran towards us and told us to quickly make our way home while he held the dog off (it had no collar or lead or anything)! We later found out that the dog wasn't his, he'd just saw the commotion and came to help us and after we were home the dog reappeared at the door leaving footprints where it was jumping and clawing at the door. It was not a fun experience, Baker ended up throwing up once we got back in the house and yet again I consigned to never take him out again...obviously we have but not in the same ways as we used to.

2018 - 22nd April
After having lived in Berwick from birth until 18 years old and then again from age 23/24 - 28 it's surprising that this was my first time ever being on our famous river.
It was a very rainy boat trip.

2019 - 19th April
Looking at photos from this week it was hard to choose.
Eos with her cone when she got spayed, walks at Holywell Dene and Causey Arch.
But I decided on the day Mam and I went to see Dumbo at the cinema.

2020 Project 366 // Days 99 - 105

8th April 2020
So thankful for our garden and this weather.

9th April 2020
We have a few regular visitors, but this couple stops by together daily just now. I love them.

10th April 2020
Chat on the webcam with Mam and Dad, or 'Face time' as Mam calls it.

11th April 2020
This is meant to be Bakers pool...but he preferred to lay and pant in the sun while we cooled our feet, ate ice lollies and read.

12th April 2020
DIYing something fun for the cats and working on a proper old school blog post hopefully going to be featured on another blog in the near future...

13th April 2020
Bath bomb day 🦕

14th April 2020

Back Through the Lens - Week 15

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on.
The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is week 15.

2013 - 17th April
One of my favorite photos of Bunny ever. He was such a character.

2014 - Week 15 April
Walks at Cullercoats beach when Mam was down to visit. This was the first beach Baker ever went on, the first place he was off lead (at 14/16? weeks old) and where he learnt a lot.

2015 - 15th April
Another year, another beach haha. This time Berwick beach with Baker admiring the lighthouse. As always, after around the end of 2014/start of 2015 we could only ever go to beaches when there were no other dogs around because of how many times Baker has been attacked and his anxiety is too high now.

2016 - 10th April
Some mornings after I finished work at around 7, I'd walk down to the quayside on my way home and just enjoy the quiet and wildlife.

2017 - 12th April
Spring celebrations! Our little Spring tree to celebrate the new life brought with the new season and because we don't celebrate religious holidays but still want to acknowledge the change in seasons.

2018 - 14th April
Single life meant I actually had time to spend with my friends, or friend, I don't have many haha.
Laura and I had a drive down to York and went on a boat trip!

2019 - 10th April
Isn't it funny how the years have similarities? 2 beach days this week over the years and now two boat trips. This day Mr H and I went on the Shields Ferry, killing time while my car was in for it's MOT. (Because of the lock down, this year's MOT has been cancelled...but thankfully there is the 6 month extension).
