2020 Project 366 // Days 358 - 366

23rd December 2020
Book 61 of 2020. Last car reading session until the 27th too!
We may hate Christmas but at least Mr H gets 3 whole days off!

24th December 2020
As far back as I can remember, from childhood until this very day I have had something I can only assume to be a form of Synaesthesia known as Personification.
It breaks my heart to see toys alone or thrown away, I always buy the broken item in shops because no one else will and I can't bear for them to be thrown away.
So recently, when I stumbled upon a company called Loved Before I knew I had to adopt a new friend.
I waited patiently for the new bunch of pals to go live this past Sunday and struck lucky spotting this girl - a perfect pairing for my Simba who has been with me 28 years.
We got a shock when the door went this morning because I didn't expect her to arrive so soon, but of course I'm very happy to have her.
What this company are doing is truly fantastic and I urge you to check them out and read more of their story. I only wish I had thought of the idea haha.
Oh, and I actually do also have green eyes btw!

25th December 2020
So good to finally get back out in nature!
We hoped that with other people celebrating today that we'd strike lucky and get a safe,
peaceful walk...but I was right and it was heaving with people.
We had our masks and were able to go off the path into the woods and stuff, but it's still super annoying.
Last walk of the year. At this point we should have had a minimum of 50 but it's less than 10.
Fingers crossed we manage more than that next year, I won't get my hopes up though.

26th December 2020
(Minus my own homemade) this is probably the best vegan pizza we've had,
better than all the big chains etc. Nice one Vizza Guys!

27th December 2020
Missing his Daddy and having to put up with only Mammy to play with again.
One day we'll maybe have our animal sanctuary and be able to all be together all the time.

28th December 2020
The fog rolled in and it was so cold it looked like glitter falling. Look at that frozen cobweb too!

29th December 2020
There were Chaffinches playing out in the trees behind our house but I don't have
a long lens anymore and took the photo through a dirty window...so it's not great.
Also, sunset.

30th December 2020
This pepper has grown on a plant, grown from seeds taken from another pepper earlier in the year.
Today it was time to pick it and it went into one of my favourite things I've been cooking this year
- a vegan paella! Until this year I didn't even like peppers...

31st December 2020
Last bath bomb of the year and my 8th Project 365 (or 366 for 2020) complete!

Back Through the Lens - Week 52

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on. The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is the very last week, week 52!

2013 - 30th December
I cannot tell you where this is or why I was there.
I assume it was on my way to or from work?

2014 - Week 52
We used to take new yearly family portraits every year and at this point
both Bunny and Nike were gone :(

2015 - 29th December
Baker with one of his favorite people, his Granda, out for a walk in the Tweed at low tide.

2016 - 29th December
Otters!!! I still can't believe we were lucky enough to have this otter family living in our river.

2017 - 31st December
Finishing a book on the last day of the year is very satisfying.

2018 - End of Series
This was a crazy year for me and sadly I gave up taking daily photos 5 days into June.
It was an eventful year and I really regret not carrying it on.

2019 - 25th December
Such a fun walk in the woods. Look at that beautiful tree!!

2020 Project 366 // Days 351 - 357

16th December 2020
Clean hutches don't last long, especially when you're lucky enough to get fed so well!

17th December 2020
There was actual daylight today which meant I could see all the beautiful birds who came to visit.
This Wood Pigeon was extra thirsty it seemed.

18th December 2020
Finally have my proper inhalers back after having to deal with stupid Symbicort all year.
For some reason when getting my usual prescription picked up,
they'd swapped me to that with no reason or any prior knowledge from myself.
I've gone through 3 of them before finally having my asthma review over the phone
and asking to please change back. Thank goodness.
Although it's an absolute farce that it costs almost £20 to get something that helps me breathe...

19th December 2020
Another one done!
Total time ended up about 5 hours over 2 sittings which was good for this crazy one
with its difficult edges etc.

20th December 2020
Yet. Another. Kick.

21th December 2020
The one time they are both actually in their new beds AND being sweet to each other,
and my camera won't focus... Typical.

22nd December 2020
Nice shed from Miss Athena! She's impressed too.
Although it makes her look way bigger than she is!

Back Through the Lens - Week 51

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on. The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is the penultimate week, 51...!

2013 - 26th December
My little genius pal Bunny, such a miss.

2014 - Week 51
One of the best places to take a walk.

2015 - 20th December
Finally framing my Hogwarts acceptance letter,
along with my photos from our recent trip to the WB Studio Tour.

2016 - 17th December
I love that the local churches do this,
hopefully reminding people what the holiday is actually about.

2017 - 21st December
Look at these cuties!
Without sounding redundant, I really miss where I used to live.

2018 - End of Series
This was a crazy year for me and sadly I gave up taking daily photos 5 days into June.
It was an eventful year and I really regret not carrying it on.

2019 - 22nd December
Our bag and box lady!

2020 Project 366 // Days 344 - 350

9th December 2020
We might not celebrate Christmas but Mam still does and we got this in the mail today 🖤
Thanks, Mam and Dad!

10th December 2020
When you don't leave your house and daylight hours are few, there gets less and less to photograph.
The birds are a constant for me though. How cute is this pair of Starlings?!

11th December 2020
The unexpected happened the other day when Eos stole Aurora's new bed.
(She's a cardboard box, bit of paper girl whereas Wawa loves to be cosy).
So we ordered another. Now Aurora won't use the bed, but at least Eos still is!

12th December 2020
Always a good time when the Primal Suds order arrives!
Thanks for the extra goodies guys, Mr H was chuffed

13th December 2020
A hellish start to the day ended up better when I had to drive up to my parents
to pick up my new inhalers.
I haven't seen them in many, many months and although it was distanced,
with masks and a flying visit, Dad and I got to go for a quick walk...
something I can't do down here because my area is just infested with idiots everywhere.
I miss the birds, I miss the sea and I miss fresh air.
The five-year plan is scrapped and the aim is now to get back to the country asap.
I can't stay here when the people are like they are and the pandemic will be in force for years to come.

14th December 2020
I can't believe we got him!
So excited to have the main man, the inspiration, Uncle Walt, as part of our collection.
The Castle is so intricate and beautiful at all angles too. It's a treasure 🏰

15th December 2020
Just another bath. I was keeping clean before it became cool.
