5th February 2020

Nothing like a gumtree bargain. Also find it hilarious that they prefer a cheap second hand buy,
 empty boxes and reusable shoppers than actual toys and beds we buy for them!

6th February 2020

The council actually did something worthwhile and planted 5 new trees out back from us.
There's always been a lot of birds by our house, considering the location, but hopefully this will only bring more.

We're slowly but surely making our way through the rooms of the house and getting the crazy colours transformed into more 'us' colours.
Like who has a green toilet?! We love the colour green, but not for bathrooms...!

Mam and I went into Gateshead to see the Knife Angel in person while it visits The Sage during it's tour.
It is made of over 100,000 seized blades to raise awareness of knife crime in the UK.

More DIY. Just a heads up though from future owners of your property - please do not just keep painting layers of gloss on top of each other.
This window sill, at this stage had paint stripper applied and scraped 5 times...it still needs done again!

took the bird feeder stand out of the garden in preparation for the apparent 'Storm Ciara'.
Anyway, the birds had all been looking for their breakfast so I had to just throw a load of seed all over the garden for them!

We went to see Dolittle tonight with our Vodafone 2 for £7 tickets!
Apart from being stuck in a tiny screen where ever single person had decided to fill the back 2 rows,
 bringing full on picnics and being noisy, ants in their pants, germ spreading 'animals' that caused me to have an anxiety attack and
have to climb over seats to get some space...it was a good movie!

2020 Project 366 // Days 29 - 35

29th January 2020

Mr H and I got given some lovely Tulip bulbs from my friend Rowan for our wedding and we finally got them 

outside today in our personalized pots that we painted with the runes we both have tattooed on our fingers.

Plastic/packaging free bath time feels so much better than a tub surrounded by bottles and tubs.

31st January 2020
Argo and Mars can't play or live together anymore because they had a big fight.
That means when one is having his hutch cleaned out he gets the roam of the full kitchen
to play, eat and explore...then we switch!

1st February 2020
The amount of wax/jars/etc people throw away once a candle has burnt out or wax tart has lost its scent is crazy.
We save all the wax, clean all the jars and buy new wicks.
Today I used up all but 3 of my jars and only half my wax, creating 7 new candles to burn. Then we'll do it all over again!

I don't know if it's because I grew up in a seaside town, but being close to the coast and having a walk near the water always makes me feel better.
I wonder how many people pass these places regularly and fail to appreciate the amazing range of wildlife, rich history and stunning views.

Shields town is full of stunning buildings.
If only more were looked after and inhabited instead of forgotten about.

2020 Project 366 // Days 22 - 28

22nd January 2020

We we're over in Gateshead for a meeting so took the opportunity to visit all our old pals at Saltwell Park.
The birds and squirrels were out in force to greet us and it was a lovely, much needed walk.

23rd January 2020

We're 23 days into the year and it's been a non-stop roller coaster. This is the first day we've had in over a month of being able to do not much at all.
Neither of us had to leave the house, we played with the animals and watched movies.

25th January 2020

Back to the early mornings with my hardworking husband. I love walking him to the metro 

(now they are running again and I'm not driving him to work) and then watching the sun come up as I get home. 

26th January 2020

Mam and I needed a couple of bits from the Metrocentre today and also picked up an extra couple of bits that we didn't 100% need.
Like a signed book and a Koala soap whose profits go to help out in Australia. 

27th January 2020

This is pretty much my 8th year of taking part in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch and they 

definitely know when it's on because barely any of them turn up compared to my usual visitors.

2020 Project 366 // Days 15 - 21

15th January 2020

It's already been 5 days since we booked our super special, extra exciting, Honeymoon / 30th Birthday / 1st Wedding Anniversary /
1st holiday abroad together trip … and it's exactly 270 days until we go!

16th January 2020

Our first little adventure of the year saw us venture out to a rather cold Marsden Bay. 

I can't believe we've lived here about 7 months already, this is just down the road from us and it was our first visit there. 

The beautiful Fulmars were definitely a highlight!
