Back Through the Lens - Week 13

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on.
The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is week 13.

2013 - 2nd April
On April Fools Day 2013 my car died.
This was the photo I took to sell it.
It had been my late granda's car and I cried when the man who bought it came to collect it.

2014 - Week 13 March
I used to actually 'do' photography as a job.
On my business social media I ran a giveaway for free pet portrait session and my cousin ended up winning.
This was their dog Bob who was a failed guide dog and although the weather was awful we got some nice shots.

2015 - 28th March
A walk along Greenway admiring all the sheep and their babies.

2016 - 25th March
There was a time when Baker and I would celebrate every part of the year...he'd get a basket of goodies, I'd decorate and make him homemade treats.
This was multiple times of the year to celebrate Spring, his Birthday in Summer, Halloween/Samhain and then again in Winter (when people celebrate Christmas).
Now I'm Mammy to 10 that isn't really possible anymore but I think I'll crack out some homemade treats soon!

2017 - 31st March
A beautiful bright day in the garden of the dogs I got to go and play with a couple times a week.

2018 - 26th March
Spring has sprung!

2019 - 29th March
Last year Mr H and I managed to get Baker to the beach.
This is a big feat because we need there to be no other dogs there.
We had a lovely time and got some amazing portraits!

2020 Project 366 // Days 78 - 84

18th March 2020
Doing a little more work on the viv. Little being the prominent word.

19th March 2020
☀️

20th March 2020
Coin #2 of the Dinosauria collection arrived today! 🦕

21st March 2020
We maybe get take away food or eat out a maximum of 5 times a year, literally.
Mr H has been working so incredibly hard though and I talked him into treating himself.
Our Pizza Hut has finally started to stock the vegan menu so we grabbed one of the deals...and then ended up with even more food because they had messed up our order.
Two days worth of food for the price of 1! Yes!

22nd March 2020
Mr H's only day off has come around again and we spent a lot of it in the garden with the piggies.
We dug a flower bed ready to plant new bushes, prepared the ground in the other bed for wild flowers,
cut the grass and saved another bee (without injuring my back this time ha).

23rd March 2020
My Lush order arrived!
And our lovely post lady gave a wave through the window then left it on the doorstep - social distancing & not disturbing the dog pro!

24th March 2020
Our lifeline just now.
I'm dropping off and picking up J from work (in an NHS building, so yes it's essential) every day to avoid all public transport etc.
Then today I did a 140mile round journey, on top of that usual hour round drive, just to pick up my inhaler.
I'm high risk and more than happy to continue my 10+ year long social distancing/isolation.
So get the heck in your houses you selfish, ignorant idiots.
I'm sick of humanity ruining everything now.

Back Through the Lens - Week 12

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on.
The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is week 12.

2013 - 23rd March
One of my favorite photos of Baker and I, on a winter walk in Ridley Park when we lived at Blyth.

2014 - Week 12 March
A beautiful swan in the afternoon light of Exhibition Park, Newcastle.

2015 - 20th March
Watching the eclipse happen from the spare room window with Baker and apparently a crow too!

2016 - 19th March
I remember the original caption of this being something to do with 'inspiration for a future Disney film, the bunny and the pigeon'.

2017 - 22nd March
Still reading!

2018 - 24th March
Mam and I took a trip up to Edinburgh to see A Wrinkle in Time at the Fountain Park cinema.

2019 - 20th March
The week my back broke. Oh my goodness I can't tell you how badly I hurt my back. I never thought it would get better...even now it is still dodgy.

2020 Project 366 // Days 71 - 77

11th March 2020
First time this year sitting out in the garden reading.
All the housework was done and so the waiting game is on for Dad coming out of surgery.

12th March 2020
Ran myself into the ground and ended up barely leaving the sofa...

13th March 2020
I've been cleaning before cleaning was cool! ha
But seriously, have you all just started washing yourself and your homes?

14th March 2020
The books we ordered for our World Book Day treats arrived yesterday and so today we weeded out one of the bookcases,
reorganized shelves and got sorted with some work for our book blog.

15th March 2020
We finally got the time to finish our jigsaw!!
According to my daily photos we started it on March 10th 2019...
to be fair though we've only got it out to work on it maybe half a dozen times.

16th March 2020
Temple of the Sky bath bomb time.

17th March 2020
Lots of new life popping up in our gardens lately.

Back Through the Lens - Week 11

Welcome back to my new series 'Back Through the Lens'. Click here to see week 1 and read all about what is going on.
The short explanation is that 2020 is my 8th year of documenting my life through photos and so I'm looking back at this exact week over the past 7 years to compare them! This is week 11.

2013 - 18th March
Little Nike again!
She was also featured in week 6 and these photos make me miss having house rabbits so much.

2014 - Week 11 March
Oooh this is an exciting image to look back on. I hate how I look, obviously, but this photo won us a competition!
We took part in the 'Pet Pawtraits' photo competition ran by Animal Friends insurance (coincidentally, currently Baker's insurer!)
and we won £200 to spend on an online store called Muddy Paws (which I've sadly just found out went into liquidation in 2018)

2015 - 14th March
A day of museums in Edinburgh.

2016 - 11th March
The typical beautiful, early morning sky on my way to work walking across Berwick Bridge.

2017 - 18th March
Squirrel spotting in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh.

2018 - 13th March
Typical beautiful sunrise across the river Tweed on the walk to work.

2019 - 15th March
Some of the best memories from 2019 definitely include our multiple visits to Saltwell Park feeding the birds and squirrels.
